Edward “Ned” Abbott

This is my blog. I speak for no one but myself here. The words I write, the images I post, and the articles I link to interest no one but me. I stand by what I put here, however, it is not a reflection of time, effort, or particular care. I just want a clearinghouse of what does interest me and a space to spout out poorly written and thoughtout rants. Consider this a disclaimer.

Because it was early and chilly enough, I knew I wasn’t going to see anyone on my run this morning, so I did not bring a mask. I grabbed this buff that was nicely folded and threw it in my belt in case I wanted or needed something. Anyway, I finished my run and decided to put it on. I should have done the sniff test and not assumed that because it was folded that it was clean. #FatGuyRunning

Back in college, a couple of us would road trip to Bennington for provisions. We would stop at JC’s Tavern because they had volleyball and a dirtbar feel. It’s been a long time since @unioncollege and there is a new partnership at the location. @thedutchmanstavern has a great name, great food, and fabulous service. @library_shoes and I stopped by on Monday afternoon. Outdoor seating available and spectacular COVID precaution enforcement.

A couple of weeks ago, @semi_rad posted about a limited edition signed print. I thought it was great but too indulgent for me. Flash forward to last week. @library_shoes gets me the Ultra Fun Venn t-shirt as a birthday gift. I mention the limited edition print. Yesterday, she hands me this. I am delighted and she knows me really well. She had anticipated that I would covet this. Thank you, babe.

So...this was the house where Shirley Jackson wrote “The Lottery” 72 years ago. Apropos of nothing, I love small VT towns.

When you ensure that your Virtual #Helderberg2HudsonHalf ends at your favorite brewery. I deserve the #TroyDivision and pizza. #FatGuyRunning #hobbyjogger
