"Distress over the closed rink has prompted the mayor of Albany to try to salvage some of the skating season. The mayor, Gerald Jennings, said he has told Mr. Paterson’s office that he can provide $25,000 in private money, making up the rest with corporate contributions, as well as deploying the city’s recreation workers and its equipment."
