• Teddie Peanut Butter on a spoon.
• 30 Rock introducing a character named "Gaylord Feltcher". Trust me, this is funny. Do Not Google it at work.
• A Treasury of Unironic Olive Garden Restaurant Reviews (including something from the TU) (my hatred of Olive Garden continues)
• I love QR codes. (See below) I just do. Would a QR code tattoo be taking it too far?
• Community returns next week.
This is my blog. I speak for no one but myself here. The words I write, the images I post, and the articles I link to interest no one but me. I stand by what I put here, however, it is not a reflection of time, effort, or particular care. I just want a clearinghouse of what does interest me and a space to spout out poorly written and thoughtout rants. Consider this a disclaimer.

Notes from Thursday
• Can someone tell why the LRA has become a thing this week? I mean they have always been evil but never this...popular. Child soldiers, managed with drugs, rape, & murder, are a huge black mark on humanity.
• There is an International Women's Day? That's great. I do wonder what Rush is going to say to commemorate it.
• Have you seen "Game On" by First Love yet? You should. (Use Google)
• iOS 5.1 was a surprisingly smooth upgrade for my iPhone.
Look what I made! Inspired, no?

Things that I have learned from movies
Movies are to this generation what the great foundational texts were to previous generations.
Here are the important life lessons that I have learned from movies:
Format - Lessons, Movie, Clip
1) Act Decisively
"Shoot the Hostage" Speed
2) Choose Wisely
When playing a videogame, Global Thermonuclear War is always the choice to make. Always. Wargames (YouTube)
3) Women are allowed to be evil, and all will be forgiven if they are sincere.
Notting Hill (The "I am also just a girl" speech has been pulled from YouTube.)
4) Wine choices are important and make you seem important.
"If anyone drinks merlot, I am leaving." Sideways
5) If a girl kisses you, it does not mean that it is a good idea or their is long term potential.
"I guess you don't know everything about women" - The Empire Strikes Back
More to come!

Friendship
Some times it is better to have a card.
As many well know, one of my favorite movie quotes is from the Big Chill:
"Wrong, a long time ago we knew each other for a short period of time; you don't know anything about me."

Is this the best burger in the 518?
I think it may be.
This is a burger with everything and bacon from the Brown Bag in Troy (with a side of fries) and it is a fast food style burger done in a slow food way.
The hand cut and hand tossed fries are awesome as well.
As with most burgers, it is the condiments that make the meal and the fresh LTO, great pickles and generous and flavorful use of sauces helps make this close to perfect.
I am not ending my quest, but I have been made very happy.

Pizza with the Boy
TEA wanted pizza and suggested NWBB. I suggested The Fountain. I won.
One of the things that we have been doing is playing video games. Last weekend, I discovered that there was a version of Oregon Trail (in HD) for my tablet and knew that I would have to have it. For TEA...not that I haven't been loving it.
(Off topic for a second, but this is my safe space and I really don't care what you think, bloggies. I hate using the word discovered to refer to things that I recently learned of. I mean, if I really discovered it, shouldn't I be wearing a Conquistador outfit and claiming it for Spain?)
FAU had suggested that this would be the case. He is wise.
Anyway, I love that TEA loves something that I played when I was his age, and this is a generational thing as his mother and stepfather are just a little too old to have played it in school on the TRS-80 or the Apple IIe. I also love that he likes hanging out with me and getting pizza often enough that the great service staff at the Fountain expects us.
