This is my blog. I speak for no one but myself here. The words I write, the images I post, and the articles I link to interest no one but me. I stand by what I put here, however, it is not a reflection of time, effort, or particular care. I just want a clearinghouse of what does interest me and a space to spout out poorly written and thoughtout rants. Consider this a disclaimer.

We can have all of it, every program that we want, if we decide that it is important to go forward together, paying what we need to pay so that everyone, EVERYONE, has the opportunity for life, liberty, and happiness.
Maybe the space force allows commerce to happen in the same way that local law enforcement allows businesses to prosper because they are not worried about brigands and thieves destroying their good work.
— Edward “Ned” Abbott (@ewabbott) August 10, 2018
Maybe the Space Force is a dumb idea, I don’t know yet.
— Edward “Ned” Abbott (@ewabbott) August 10, 2018
Maybe the space force allows for private space enterprises, which could be wildly profitable, in addition to being part of the continuing voyage of discovery that our species has been on since we left the savannah...
I think one of the issues that we are facing is that we all want some of these things, but we, as taxpayers, don’t want to pay for the things that we don’t like.
— Edward “Ned” Abbott (@ewabbott) August 10, 2018
I get it.
Both sides see WF&A in projects that they dislike because of ideology or based on who the presenter is.
If we want to be the Country that does big things, amazing things, everyone needs to pay their fair share.
— Edward “Ned” Abbott (@ewabbott) August 10, 2018
It is not Zero Sum. We can have whatever version of utopia that you want, if we are willing to pay for it.
We can have a space force, single payer health care, fully funded schools, shored up entitlement programs, a balanced budget, deficit reduction, infrastructure, UBI, and a strong national defense. We can have all of those things.
