This is my blog. I speak for no one but myself here. The words I write, the images I post, and the articles I link to interest no one but me. I stand by what I put here, however, it is not a reflection of time, effort, or particular care. I just want a clearinghouse of what does interest me and a space to spout out poorly written and thoughtout rants. Consider this a disclaimer.
You are aware that street parking is not just a problem in Albany right? I can't tell you the number of nights I circled blocks in Brooklyn looking for a spot.
And yes, many of the people taking my spots did not live in my neighborhood.
I didn't hate CDTA, I actually enjoyed it. I just found that I could not always run out the door at the exact time a bus came and, unlike you didn't have the nice shuttle come to my office door.
Plus, MLTU was 5 months old and Em was adjusting to being a (mostly) SAHM so I wanted to get home to my family as quickly as possible. In the AM it was great, in the PM not so much.
And all I am saying is that almost every city large or small has parking issue. Don't hate on the State workers just because P suckered you into picking up her car at prime AM parking time after a night of drinking.
Plus, since you like CDTA why not take a bus to Wolff's. Did you REALLY plan on driving home?

Brooklyn is one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world.
ReplyDeleteAlbany is not.
There are a number of things that can be done...I like the idea of a commuter tax for Albany...or...better public transportation.
I know that you hated CDTA but I happen to love it...maybe I am the weird one...
