First...the dough...
Two cups of all purpose flour
Tablespoon of salt
Tablespoon of baking powder
Pinch of black pepper
Pinch of minced onion
Pinch of dried basil
Pinch of garlic powder
Combine dry and mix well
Add two tablespoons of olive oil
And then slowly mix in a cup of warm water...use your hands...
Let rest for about 45 minutes
Cut the dough into three equally sized pieces and roll over until there is a smooth "skin".
Let rest again for five to ten minutes.
Press flat and toss until thin
On a medium hot dry pan, place the flat dough, cooking about two minutes per side until the are (to quote Alton) golden brown and delicious.
Top with your personal favorites...
In this case, a light coating of red sauce, chopped garlic, mozzarella and Parmesan with a little bit of salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Heat your oven to 435 and cook for about fifteen minutes...
Pizza is always good!
Seriously...pizza is always good.
