Not as random as it seems

A) Does anyone have a subscription to Scientific American? I want to read this review.

B) A spinach salad with grilled tuna for lunch...or a vegan corn dog?

C)I love volunteering for Habitat for Humanity with Teacher Dave. Even when my fingers get crushed. Even when he recommends that most depressing book ever. It is a great time and he is a good friend.

D) And finally, this made me chuckle to myself.

Dual Spires

I loved Twin Peaks.

The other night, my brother called and asked me if I had watched Psych from the night before. Of course I hadn't. I do not watch that program (partially because I can't see Dule Hill as anything other than an assistant to the President) and told my brother that, including that reason.

He insisted that I watch the show. Because he rarely insists on anything,I watched and I am so glad that I did.

Pysch did an homage to Twin Peaks and did it well. It was funny, and more to the point, none of the gags (and there were a lot of them) seemed forced.

Check out the review in the Boston Herald.

You can watch Psych's Dual Spires episode on Hulu.

This made me giggle

GAWKER: So, abuse any kids today?
CHILD ABUSER: Nope.
GAWKER: Why not?
CHILD ABUSER: It's this cartoon thing. I guess I never realized people cared so much about child abuse that they would go to the trouble of changing their Facebook avatar for a day.

Facebook Users Defeat All Child Abuse by Changing Their Profile Pictures

Yeah, no one that I pay attention to has done this...

Thank goodness for that.

Thank you, Maura

No, this isn't too harsh at all!

(I hope that it was meant in jest.)

Friday Morning's Little Gifts

1) Elvis Costello coming up on shuffle.

2) Chris Hayes using the phrase "big ass" on national television to describe the Ark reproduction in Kentucky.

3) Getting a "great job" on a 7:30 call.

4) Harold and "I ate my whole father pig."
