Please read the articles.
They are not saying that it is a scam, not in the least, just that there may be better organizations for you to send your money...places like the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, Partners in Health, or OxFam.
The Brights have also published a list of charities that have little or no religious affiliation (as that is an issue for me).
Not the Red Cross ever!!!! When my Dad was in hospital during WWII, the Red Cross came an gave all the men sweaters. Well, when it came to leave - The men found an $8.00 charge
ReplyDeletefor each sweater. My Dad packaged up the sweater and sent it back to them with a strong letter. Well things have only gotten worse with the Red Cross. Executives make handsome salaries, and so much of a donation dollar goes to operating costs, that very little of what's given actually gets to those who truly need it. Have you noticed the lack of a Red Cross presence during the recent disaster. I cannot in all good faith, give to this organization.
