I spent my evening sitting on the deck, drinking water, listening to Sia (more correctly, Zero 7 featuring Sia as well as Jose Gonzalez), and reading a collection of short stories. It was lovely. It was more than that. It was close to perfect. So close to perfect, only two things would have made it better. Then I thought of an old blessing which is also a curse: "May you get what your heart desires."
As is my wont, there were some moments of navel gazing on my part, including thinking about the nature of friendships. (I do that a lot, don't I?)
Anyway, I am not going to get into any of my epiphanies, as you likely do not care OR you worked these out for yourself when you were thirteen, but I, once again, realized how lucky I am.
Oh, I also figured out something about Fermi's Paradox, but...it is too disjointed and nonsensical for even me.
And I still have a smile on my face from the news about the BEPs.
