This is my blog. I speak for no one but myself here. The words I write, the images I post, and the articles I link to interest no one but me. I stand by what I put here, however, it is not a reflection of time, effort, or particular care. I just want a clearinghouse of what does interest me and a space to spout out poorly written and thoughtout rants. Consider this a disclaimer.

This is why we fight
I don't know why I have this song stuck in my head today ("This is why we fight" by The Decemberists) but maybe it is because I made the argument that their most recent album is the best Springsteen album since The Killer's Sam's Town.
Or maybe it was because the song was running through my admittedly odd dreams of last night.

On Portland and the Decemberists
(I love the Decemberists and the PNW.)
Conversation with my brother:
Dan: Who is this?
Me: The Decemberists.
("This is why we fight" was on MusicChoice.)
Dan: What are people from Portland fighting?
Me: Mediocrity.
Dan: (Laughter) That was quick.
Now back to your regularly scheduled evening.

A Couple (or four) of Things that Excite Me
The Decemberists have a new album that you can listen to here.
Will Ferrell is doing a hip-hop album based on his character in Step Brothers.
You can download a complete Radiohead concert that benefits Oxfam's work in Haiti.
Muppets with People Eyes is the weirdest site I have seen in a while. It is a little creepy.
