ODB's Top Five Songs

ODB listed his top five singles for The Singles Project:

1. "Strawberry Fields Forever", The Beatles ~ The greatest pop song ever written.

2. "Possession", Elvis Costello ~ It's just a good tune. It's written about a woman he has seen but doesn't know. There is a certain enigma about it. It is brilliant.

3. "Fat Man in the Bathtub", Little Feat ~ It has good hooks as far as music and filthy lyrics without being obscene.

4. "Memo From Turner", The Rolling Stones ~ Filthiest, nastiest blues ever heard. And, makes reference to abortion.

5. "Brooklyn (Owes the Charmer Under Me)", Steely Dan - it's a story with hooks. Depressing and sad with upbeat melodies.

Thanks, ODB, this is a great list!
