And arbitrary rankings make me happy

Forbes posted their list of America's Best Colleges and Union College is on it.

I was expecting top 40 but I was happily surprised to see it at 29.

For those following along at home, RPI was at 370, SUNYA was at 357, Skidmore was at 69, Siena at 225 and the College of St. Rose was not ranked.

  1. I'm happy that Forbes ranked SUNY Albany higher than RPI. I hope that SUNYA's propaganda team highlights this on the main page of the university's website.

  2. Oh, Dr. Nash...such snark.

    Though FAU and I talked about it and for the most part, the technical/trade schools fair poorly on this list, and there has to be something in the methodology that causes this.

  3. 10% of the ranking is based on listings of alumni in Who's Who in America. That's just amazing.
